Deep Sleep
This is a great sleeping pad! The first night that I used it out on the trail, I accidentally put it on a sharp stick. The pad made quite a sound but it didn’t pop!The time it takes to inflate is about 5 minutes, but someone with a healthy pair of lungs could do it faster. If weight and bulk aren’t a problem, then your choice for a restful sleeping is an easy one.

Big Agnes dual core mummy
Ordinarily, I like a wider pad. This pad is only 20 inches wide. But, this pad fits into my Bibler Tripod bivy, where a wider pad does not. It is warm and does the job. I don’t know about it being self inflating, so far I have to blow it up more tha a few puffs. It’s the warmest pad I could find to fit into the bivy. I like it. It seems to fit into the bag fine for me. Also, it has a little pocket for the repair kit.

10 days in the Sierra, almost all above 10K. Switched from years of Thermarest. About the same weight, 2.5 of loft, no hips digging into the granite. No leaks. Thermarest good, but this was better for me!
Big Agnes REM Dual-Core Mummy Pad
A little hard to roll up and get into the storage bag. It is however worth the hassle as it is a warm and very comfortable pad. I especially like the way it goes down into the backpack and is small when rolled up. Had to get rid of my other thermal pad as I did not get the rest I wanted. It was a green trail pad but was cold at 20 deg. I like the Big Agnes brand, it is better quality gear.

FINALLY
We have finally found a sleeping pad that is long enough and warm enough for winter camping in Cape Breton! I like the light weight and the warmth it brings the most - great for camping on the Rock this spring and fall as well.
