The Jetboil Group Cooking System includes a burner with built-in igniter, 1.5 liter pot, pot support, and stabilizer that all fit into one compact unit offering incredible efficiency and usability. The Group Cooking System (GCS) uses Jetboil’s FluxRing on its neoprene-insulated pot to enable 75% heat efficiency nearly twice that of a conventional camp stove. This incredible stove boils 12-liters of water with a tiny 100g butane canister. Plus, the auto-igniter and adjustable flame allow you to simmer food instead of just boiling water. The Group Cooking System’s wide-armed stabilizer increases versatility by allowing you to use non-Jetboil pots, as well.

Product Reviews

Very handy, except
I used the larger Jetboil as a replacement for my Whisperlite. I got tired of priming and having a flame thrower when I just wanted a quick warm drink. The lid could be made a little firmer and then be useful as a plate. Secondly, the pan could use a pouring spout for a quicker refill of your buddies coffee mug. Works great every time no fuss, mild conditions fed 4 people 3 days on large canister.

outstanding
I’ve been backcountry packing for over 20 years, and the Group Cooking System one of the best investments I’ve ever made. My son carried a Jet Boil Personal Cooking System with him, and we could have easily used that alone for the entire trip, but I wanted to try them both side by side. Both worked flawlessly. What was nice was cooking one-pot meals in the Group Cooking System, and boiling water for coffee or hot chocolate mornings & evenings. This way we wouldn’t have had to hike out if a stove failed, and we could carry one type of fuel bottle to operate one or both stoves. On average we boiled 6 cups of water per day and we had plenty of fuel left over–and we only brought 2 4oz fuel bottles! The main thing to learn is, have EVERYTHING ready when you start the stove, because the speed of heating on this stove seems faster than a microwave. Easy to pack, easy to operate, easy to clean. Outstanding!

Cook fast for the group.
This is a nice stove if you need to do more then boil water or cook for just one. In reality the GCS pot will work just as well and fast with any stove. It’s the pot on this system that is the key with the heating fins. It’s a bit heavy for a butane stove but makes up for most the weight in the fuel savings. The personal cooking pot will also work with this stove as the stove is identical minus the pot support and fuel bottle support which can all be purchased seperately.

Basically a 5, with one small complaint
Jetboil does everything it’s supposed to do, and does it well. Only complain is that the Cooking Pot isn’t conducive to pouring hot liquids–makes putting hot water and food into dishes a chore! Other than that, the system is great.

Great stove
We have used this stove about 10 times so far, and I’m very pleased with it. We were using it in elevations above 8500ft and temps as low as 20deg with great success. A couple minor complaints would be that the stove takes longer to boil water as the cannister gets low on fuel. Also the lid is very hard to snap into place in cold temps, as it obviously shrinks up more than the metal pot. Overall I’m thrilled with this product though.

Why carry a pot, a stove, and a cup when you can carry just one Jetboil The Jetboil stove is a self-contained cooking system that is a little larger than a Nalgene bottle. A super efficient canister stove is locked to a mug to form a single, connected system. Thanks to a patented Flux Ring that distributes heat evenly over the bottom of the cup, the Jetboil can boil a cup full of water in 30 seconds. The Companion Cup version of the Jetboil PCS simply comes with an extra cup for ultralight backpacking with two people. The Jetboil’s cup can be removed and switched so you can cook two portions separately. The base and canister nest inside one of the mug for transport and both have insulating sleeves to protect your hand and hold heat inside. A handgrip strap gives you something to hold onto so the hot stuff goes into your mouth, not your lap. Fuel canister not included.

Product Reviews

jetboil
I used a Jetboil for the first time last weekend on a gear check for the PCT. It s a great stove combo. The extra cup makes it very convenient for two people. It s very fast at boiling and worked well in the rain.

Broke on me!
was not impressed with this stove. The ignition electrode is surrounded by a thin piece of porcelain that breaks and has to be lit with a lighter. The neoprene melts on the cup when there is no wind. All you can cook is water and its hard to clean. I would stick with a different container stove

Works too well
This Jetboil works too well. I’m not able to cook with it on full blast. I usually end up burning stuff. Even when burnt, cleanup is easy.

Best thing ever invented!
I got the Jetboil with Companion Cup for my boyfriend’s two-week sabbatical to the Alaskan bush. He came back from the wilds with a new found love for boiling water in 30 seconds. He cooks in it all the time, even at home! It’s easy to use and easy to clean. Our lives would not be complete without it.

Amazing stove
I tried melting snow at 8,000 feet and it did really well. Really nice integrated system with built in peizo igniter. MSR may have dialed the XGK and dragon fly as far as heat output, but this is a good system for those who don’t want to deal with pumping and liquid gas. This stove packs the punch, use it will confidence.

The highly efficient, lightweight, and compact Jetboil Personal Cooking System has revolutionized the way people cook in the backcountry. Jetboil has won so many awards with this compact stove that you can’t count them on your fingers. The Personal Cooking System creates up to 80% efficiency to boil a cup of water in 30 seconds with very little fuel consumption. Both the stove and the fuel bottle pack into the one-liter pot for easy storage. *Fuel not included.

Product Reviews

Buy this stove, you won’t regret it
This thing is the best stove system and is worth every penny you spend. Not only is this a nice compact system (the gas canister and stand fit in the cup) it is quite small to fit easily in your pack, it is super super easy to use. I had this thing up in less than a minute and within five of pulling into camp, I had hot water for my Ramen. I also got the coffee filter/french press attachment and was greatly impressed with the outcome. The cup holds 2 cups of water, so pick up recipes that don’t require more than that. But you can eat right out of it and it stays warm. I was blown away on how fast it boiled water! For anyone looking for a solo cooking system, look no further, this thing rocks!
