The Osprey Stratos 24 is a great pack for a long day. You can easily include your ten essentials and enough water for 2. A key feature is the mesh back with the large space between the pack and your back. Very nice design for cooling! It has a 1700 cu in capacity (L), and the compression system allows for a really tight hug against your body (even with the ventilation). A large size rides a little low for me (I am very tall!) on the hips, but the belt is very comfortable with forward pulling adjustment straps. The StraightJacket compression system has 3 compression straps to make the load surprisingly still, you can tighten it down extremely compact and stable. Great for lots of loose items, or squeezing the crap out of a change of clothes. I would highly recommend this pack for bikers, day hikers and those that need a lightweight backpack for day use…not suitable for camping.
